Spice Girtls Rule
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Bewitched The Movie
Topic: News

Hey family.  I took Danielle to a Concert last night. Not just any concert though. I took her to see the Spice Girls! I guess it was one of those experiences she had dreamed about for years. YAY go me! The Spice Girls(if you don't remember) were a singing group of five girls who launched here in the states in the mid-nineties and Dominated the Pop scene until the end of the decade. They were a phenomenon. Danielle was a fan of theirs from the get-go but they broke up before she got a chance to see them. Thanks to good ol Uncle Sam I was able to get free tickets and take her to see their reunion tour. A plus, I think, was that it was their last American show. Not a plus because they aren't going to play here anymore but a plus because we won't see them perform again and we were at the last show....at least for a while. If They are anything like KISS we will see the reunion tour followed by the Farewell tour...Followed by the Farewell tour part two...and three....and four.....Come to think of it....I saw Kiss' farewell tour ten years ago and they're still on it....hmmmm........Oh well. Best not to consider it. We both...yes I said BOTH....had a wonderful time. It was an excellent show. We didn't have to pay for the show, or the ride up there, or any of our merchandise. Good stuff. I just wanted to let you guys know about the show.

Not much to report on our front. We haven't really been up to much. Come to think of it....Nothing has really changed at all with my status in the NAVY. Congrats. You've been updated. We Love You Guys.

XOXOXOXO

The Powell's specifically Donavon(I typed this one all by myself!)

Now I turn the keyboard over to Danielle to put the pictures in.

A Weekly Update
Mood:  caffeinated
Topic: News

Well lets see.  What happened this week.  Monday I went to pick Donavon up from work on base and I got chosen for the random car inspection.  That is where they ask for you licence, military id, registration, and insurance.  Then they ask you to open the hood, trunk and all of the doors of your car so they can complete a through inspection.  You sit in a shed like area untill they are done.  Well we had been successfuly avoiding these inspections for weeks due to the fact that our car was not currently registered.  The registration expired in December and we were waiting on Navy Legal to aprove and noterize our exemtion paperwork for property tax and wavior of registration fees.  Any way, they ended up scrathing the base stickers of our car, basicly that means that we could not drive on base untill the proper paperwork was shown and okayed. Of course we got home Monday to a phone call from Navy Legal saying our paperwork was done.  Tuesday Donavon had physical therapy in the morning, then was excused from work to go take care of going to the DMV.  So we brought the paperwork to be stamped by the town hall and off to Old Sabrook to get the car reregistered.  Now I realize that none of you know where Old Saybrook is in comparisin to Groton.  Its about a hour drive and when it takes 3 hours without traffic to drive through Connecticut, it seems longer then it really is.  So we get to the DMV finally and find out that it is closed for Lincon's birthday.  So we get in the car and drive home.  Wensday we drive all the way back and sit there for four or five hours to talk to someone for two minuets.  This is how the DMV works up here.  They give us the new registration and we are on our way for what Navy people call Pass and Id.  This is where you get stickers to go on base.  We get the stickers for the car and everything is taken care of.  Except that now I have to go to on base traffic court and provide proof that every thing is taken care of.  No fine though so that is good.  We also stoped off at the outlet stores this week.  An outlett is a store where all of the chain stores, Liz Claiborne, Nike, Yankee Candle, other stores like this, send the merchandice overflow.  The merchindice is usualy on sale or at very low prices.  We ended up picking up my Valentines day presents.  A Liz Claiborne snake skin patteren, red leather purse, with a matching wallet and hand bag.  I have a big thing for purses.  Some women its shoes.  Since I have size 11/12 Feet and it is rare to find the "perfect" shoe in my size, I have chosen purses to be my obsession.  Valentimes day was great.  We spent the day lounging around the house, Not much has happened since.  I have to run off and feed Donavon, I can hear his stomache growling from here and he is all the way acrossed the room.  Talk to you all later.  Love and miss you all.

Some things I forgot to put in my first post
Mood:  energetic
Now Playing: The soundtrack to the movie Sweeney Todd
Topic: News
Hello, Danielle here again, more then likely I will be the one updating this site, Donavon isn't a technology type I suppose.  When I got home I realized that I hadn't made the most important news at all.  We are coming home, the question is when.  Well, as of right now we are waiting for his doctors to send their notes and suggestions down to Washington D.C to figure out what type of disability Donavon will receive when he is discharged.  The paper work will leave Washington D.C and be sent back up to the Naval Base here and the Base will write up discharge orders and send us on our way.  The time line on this is still kind of up in the air however.  This process could take anywhere from a month to 3 months.  When we do get back to Nevada Donavon will need to check in with the V.A to file his disability.  While we are waiting on the paper work to be straightened out we will be taking a whirl wind tour around to all the family.

I realize that some of you don't know that much about me other then being Donavon's wife.  Hi I'm Danielle. I'm 21, my birthday is May 28th (right between Ma's whose is on the 26th, and Pa's whose is on the 29th.  I enjoy writing, reading, playing around on the computer.  I am the youngest of 3 children.  I have two older brothers, the eldest is David (Dave) he is 7 years older then me. He is married to a very nice woman named Justice and they recently adopted an adorable little boy named Mateo who will be 2 this June.  The middle child is Michael (Mikey)  He is 5 years older then me and is married to a woman that... well to be honest I don't really like very much.  They have a 5 year old son named Hunter.  My Mother and Father divorced when I was 6 years old and can't stand even the thought of each other.  My father remarried about a year after the divorce to a woman that I consider my Mom.  My biological mother is insane.  She is bipolar and schizophrenic, and has manic depression.  I am very much a Daddy's girl.  My favorite colors are red, black, and a deep blue.  I can't think of anything else to type so I guess I will type at you guys next time.  We love and miss you all :)

Danielle

Welcome to Donavon and Danielle Powell's website.  This is to inform anyone that wants to know about our happenings, our thoughts, and anything else we feel like putting up.  So lets jump right in.

Danielle here, I thought it would be nice to put up a site where family and friends can come and see our recent news, pictures, videos and anything else.  Donavon and I are doing great.  Right now we are at a friends house sharing our love for the comedian/ventriliquest Jeff Dunham.  I am waiting for Monday to come so that I can go down to the N.B.H.C (Naval Branch Health Clinic) so I can get a new list of Doctors that our insurence accepts in this area.  I have been seeing a psyciatrist for agoraphobia (fear of leaving your safe place alone, for me its my house) The method that my current doctor is using isn't working and he refuses to try a differant tactic so I must find a new doctor.  Meanwhile, Donavon has to work on Monday.  He and I currently joined the internet magic community, NeoMagician.  There are a lot of magicians there of all ages and all levels of experiance.  It is a great place to share ideas and performance tips.  Donavon spends most of his time online there helping out some of the younger members to improve their abillity.  We got new cell phones yesterday so if you don't have the number you can e-mail either Donavon or myself.  He is at donavonpowell@yahoo.com   and my e-mail is white_queen666@yahoo.com I gotta run its time to go home now.  We love and miss all of you.  Good night
